Question

Apart from Deshimaru and the great Zen Masters, were you deeply touched by other wise men, alive or dead, or other traditions (or out of all traditions!)?

With gratitude

Answer from Master Kosen

Naturally, I am in fact exceptionally lucky on this respect. I always had the fortune to come across great traditions and great masters, strong enough to make me kneel down to the ground. Master Deshimaru, if it is him the one who saved me and who made educated me, he is not the only one who made me evolve. He had said to me that after the shiho I should go and see other traditions and compare them, and I did. It allowed me and still allows me to understand the specificity of the authentic Zen education and also the traps in which we can fall in this teaching.
I continue today being a disciple and I thank heaven for sending me such great educators and for giving me such great treasures of so magnificent knowledge, and I continue today trying hard in the Way of the Masters with the enthusiasm of a beginner.
